Swiss,

Its a lovely place but for entertainment you'll need to go outside Luxembourg, you could also drive the length of the country within an hour its that small.

"The climate is basically temperate but it can be cloudy a considerable amount of the time. Landlocked Luxembourg has the equivalent of about 61 days of sun per year. In comparison, that's 10 less days of Sun than perennial rain capital, Seattle, Washington."

OK maybe wrong

Re: Luxembourg
I heard it has only 61 days of sunshine a year. Less than anywhere else in the world. I thought Brussels was bad. So a bit off putting.

I have a return to Lyon option so I might take that.

Re: Luxembourg
Been there maybe four times, passing through.

Found the people in the City to be rude, pushing front of you in queues, etc

People along the West Bank of the Mosel were much nicer.

Re: Luxembourg
To paraphrase Michael Cain,
"When I was young Luxembourg was a radio station. I didn't even know it was a country. Now the leader from Luxembourg rules us but obviously doesn't like us."

All you need to know except Luxembourg is now the richest EU country after years of Juncker selling it to big business as a HO base to get cheap corporation tax and EU employees earn big salaries making it very rich.

Ironic now that Juncker is calling for Big companies to pay fair taxes. What's not to like about him?

TheMealDeal - owned by Sebastian Schemmel, and does a great burger. Went there a couple of years ago as it's only a short train ride from the capital and he happened to be in. Lovely bloke, although he didn't think that Payet would make it in English football.

I met a lightweight Irish cunt in London recently who lived there and was over to meet mates in the city.

Told me he'd killed people for the IRA and then proceeded to threaten people with a glass.

An skinny Indian chap dropped him in one punch, fucking hilarious.

Before he turned into a cock, he reckoned he loved it there.

Massively overrated - you'll struggle out there on your money though.

Re: Luxembourg
My mate has lived there for 15 years so I've been quite a few times to visit.

Nice town, very picturesque, tax is typically low, good bars / restaurants, good mix of people from uk, Ireland, Germany, France etc

Grand Duke's birthday party is a good smash up, lots of live music, fireworks and street parties all through the night...

one draw back is there are no KFC's so if you like your chicken, you have to drive to Paris!
